Mary is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She has been counseling for 14 years specializing in children and adults; individual, family, and group therapies.
Ms. Sznyter received her undergraduate degree in Social Work from Kean College. Her Master’s & Post Master’s Degree was obtained from Monmouth University in Psychological Counseling, while she worked for Easter Seals of NJ as a Behaviorist specializing in Applied Behavioral Analysis.
She continued her post-graduate training in Psychodrama and Group Counseling. Ms Sznyter specializes in specific interventions for anxiety, depression, trauma and ADD/ADHD.
EMDR services offered but not covered by insurance; sliding scale accepted.
Additionally, Mary Snzyter has a concentration in EDMR which is a form of psychotherapy that was developed to resolve symptoms from disturbing and unresolved life experiences. It uses a structured approach to address past, present, and future aspects of disturbing memories. The approach was developed to resolve the development of trauma-related disorders including depression, anxiety and Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (for more information please see articles page).
